Bisenzone

Multi-lateral payments with best-inclass privacy, access to liquidity, programmability, and fairness

Bisenzone is a platform for fault tolerant, privacy-preserving execution of atomic multi-lateral settlement operations defined by a graph optimization algorithm. It's an implementation of the design in the whitepaper- an open clearing club. It aims for best in-class privacy, access to liquidity, programmability, and fairness.

Bisenzone is being built using the Cosmos technology as a generalized protocol for running off-chain privacy-preserving graph computations that settle atomically on-chain.

We'll be releasing more info about Bisenzone over the coming months.

A note about the name:

"Bisenzone" was the name of the clearing fairs hosted by the Genoese that dominated European finance prior to the rise of central banks. The Bisenzone fairs did not have a "home", in that they moved around French and Italian cities as the Genoese saw fit, and they did not use a sovereign unit of account to denominate their debt. The fairs died out in the 17th c as they were replaced by a new monetary constitution. We are inspired to restore the international clearing power of the Bisenzone fairs, but to open them to everyone. See here for more.
